2009
Atlantic Coast Bank is proud to congratulate Michelle
Henninger of Jacksonville, Florida as the 2009
Charlye Dixon Memorial Scholarship winner. A record
number of applicants applied this year and Miss Henninger
was selected based on the qualifying criteria of GPA,
SAT/ACT score, school and community involvement, financial
need, and personal recommendations.
Miss Henninger is a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School
and she is scheduled to begin classes at the University of
Florida this summer. A student leader both inside and
outside the classroom, Miss Henninger was the Vice-President
of Student Council, member of the National Honor Society,
and varsity captain of both the volleyball and softball
teams. She is also a part of With His Yoke ministries, a
church related organization. During high school Miss
Henninger maintained a GPA of 4.25 and achieved excellent
results on her SAT as well.

her academic and
personal growth, this scholarship is certainly well
deserved.”
Atlantic Coast Bank takes pride in assisting local community
students plan for the future. Established in 1988, the
Atlantic Coast Scholarship was re-named the Charlye
Dixon Memorial Scholarship in 1993 in memory of
Waycross, Georgia student, Charlye Dixon. It awards $1,000
to assist a qualified customer with college tuition.
