        ATLANTIC COAST BANK PRIVACY POLICY DISCLOSURE

Introduction: We respect your financial privacy and comply with laws and regulations designed to secure that privacy. Your relationship with us is important, and we want you to understand our policies and practices about handling your nonpublic personal financial information.  In this disclosure, we refer to your nonpublic personal financial information as simply “information”.

Information About You: We may routinely collect information from the following sources:

  • Information we receive from you on applications and other forms, such as your marital status or your income;

  • Information about your transactions with us, our affiliates or others;

  • Information we receive from a consumer credit report, such as your credit score or your credit history;

  • Information we obtain to verify representations made by you, such as your open lines of credit; and

  • Information we obtain from a person regarding its employment, credit, or other relationship with you, such as your employment history.

We may share this information with others to the extent permitted by law and in accordance with our information sharing practices listed below.

Safeguarding Information About You: Information that we have about you is available to our employees on a “need to know” basis so they can do their jobs. We do not provide information about you to anyone without first verifying who they are and whether they may have legal access to the information. We train our employees to protect information we have about you. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to guard your information.

Information Sharing Practices: We may disclose all of the information that we collect, as described above, to the following types of third parties:

  • Financial service providers, such as insurance companies and insurance agents and securities brokers,

We reserve the right to disclose information in the future to:

  • Non-financial companies, such as retailers, direct marketers, airlines and publishers, and

  • Others, such as non-profit organizations.

We may also disclose all of the information we collect, as described above, to companies that perform marketing services on our behalf or to other financial institutions with whom we have joint marketing agreements.

Former Customers: We will treat the information we have about former customers as if they were still our customers, as described above.

Your Opt Out Rights: If you prefer that we not disclose information about you to nonaffiliated third parties, you may opt out of those disclosures, that is, you may direct us not to make those disclosures (other than disclosures permitted by law). To opt out, complete the blanks below and return to Atlantic Coast Bank, P. O. Box 1256, Waycross, GA  31502.  Once your signed statement is received, we have a reasonable amount of time to stop the information sharing. To revoke your opt out, send your signed statement saying you will permit us to share the information indicated.

I have received and read the above notice entitled “Atlantic Coast Bank Privacy Policy Disclosure”.  I am instructing Atlantic Coast Bank not to make the disclosures to third parties that notice describes.  My decision to opt out of these disclosures is for all accounts listed below.  I acknowledge that Atlantic Coast Bank has a reasonable amount of time to implement this request, and, not withstanding this instruction, may still make other disclosures as required or otherwise allowed by law.
